Creating a great web-experience when our customers come to a Starbucks store is a daunting task. Our goal was to allow customers to sign-in and access the web as simply as possible but also providing them rich and immersive portal content that might intrigue them.

Great content allows for great user experiences. We brought as much of the store into the site as possible where you can quickly grasp the various promotions going on in the store and also to interact with the more dynamic elements of the store, such as seeing the song that's now playing.

We used a valid, standards based layout using CSS2 and jQuery to progressively enhance the functionality and to elevate the user experience.
